Eating and drinking in Lochaber is relaxed but can also be outstanding. The Strontian Hotel pub/ restaurant is only a short walk away, as is the PO/ general store. Just under a mile away in the centre of the village is the minimarket, bistro, pottery shop and Tourist Information office.
There are two good local restaurants within 2 miles: 2AA rosettes dining at the Kilcamb Lodge; and home cooking at the Ariundle Centre. The new Driftwood Brasserie at Kilcamb Lodge offers fantastic value fine dining in a relaxed atmosphere.
Excellent freshly caught seafood is only a 30 minute drive away at the Salen Hotel in Salen (also a good pub). But, for Michelin-rated one-of-the-UK’s best try the White House over in Lochaline (go before they put the prices up).
